"Scarry scarry night" by Hafsa Idrees
Finger painted with oils colours on stretched canvas, 70x100 cm (27,5 x 39,3inches), 2021
I tried to bring impressionism and expressionism together with a twist of humour which turned in to a bit of exhibitionism. The two famous paintings used at Starry Night by Van Gogh and The Scream by Edvard Munch. I have a massive love for Greys so I tried to incoprate them in the scene. Its painted using fingertips only!
About Hafsa Idrees
My name is Hafsa Idrees and I am currently based in Germany. Art has always been close to my heart and even though I have not received a formal education in any particular genre, drawing/painting is an important part of my life. Impressionists like Van Gogh, Monet, and Iris have inspired me so much that I recently dared to explore this genre mainly with finger painting. Our fingertips are designed in a perfect way to manipulate paint, create magical pieces of art and unique textures. I often use brushes too, depending on the size, subject and desired composition.I enjoy applying and developing my skills through the exploration of different subjects such as landscapes, figures, animals, and other aspects of nature.
