I feel peacock is an epitome of beauty. The colours are so beautiful and lively that it makes one to live and love all over again. This graceful power animal offers lessons about self-love, honor, integrity and the importance of facing life’s challenges as well as the unknown with courage and confidence. Recently I visited Prague, and saw a peacock by a lake resting with peahens. I stopped and gasped on the thought that some creatures around us are beautiful and admirable beyond comprehension. Also, it is a wonderful subject for finger painting as I could play around with colours and background. This original is part of my upcoming exhibition in September.
My name is Hafsa Idrees and I am currently based in Germany. Art has always been close to my heart and even though I have not received a formal education in any particular genre, drawing/painting is an important part of my life. Impressionists like Van Gogh, Monet, and Iris have inspired me so much that I recently dared to explore this genre mainly with finger painting. Our fingertips are designed in a perfect way to manipulate paint, create magical pieces of art and unique textures.
